Abstract:	Über die 1902 vom französischen Chemiker Paul Sabatier entdeckte chemische Sabatier-Reaktion kann Kohlendioxid aus der Abluft von Industrieanlagen rezykliert und in Methan umgewandelt werden. Gleich wie fossiles Erdgas kann dieses synthetische Erdgas als wertvoller Energieträger in der Mobilität oder zum Heizen eingesetzt werden. Aber ist dieses synthetische Erdgas auch wirklich klimafreundlicher und ökologisch nachhaltiger als die fossile Alternative?
