Bluetooth Low Energy is a radio standard designed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) operating in the license free ISM band (Industrial, Scientific and Medical band). BLE is ubiquitous. Whether you choose a fitness watch, an electrical teeth brush or a medical monitoring device, it connects literally everything to each other by its easy usability. Compared with the older Bluetooth standard its main focus is on ultra-low power consumption instead of enhanced data rates Therefore devices can be designed using a small battery that lasts for years. |
