| Abstract: | Zum ersten Mal erlitten deren Investoren im vergangenen Jahr 2008 massive Verluste von rund 20%. Bis anhin hatten Dach-Hedgefonds mit Ausnahme von 1994 (Zinsschockjahr) und 1998 (LTCM Debakel) stets positive Renditen erzielt. Mancher Kommentator stellt deshalb die Raison d'être von Hedgefonds in Frage. Die ZHAW Forscher sehen dies anders. Der von den Marktfaktoren unabhängige Teil der Performance, das sogenannte Alpha, hat sich bei den Dach-Hedgefonds auch im Annus Horribilis gut gehalten, und die künftigen Opportunitäten für Hedgefonds sind sogar prononciert vorhanden. |
