Abstract:	Der Beitrag informiert über aktuelle Projekte des International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB). Für die Periode 2010-2012 hat sich das IPSASB drei grossen Handlungsfeldern verschrieben: der Entwicklung eines Rahmenkonzepts für die Rechnungslegung im öffentlichen Sektor, der weiteren Entwicklung von spezifischen Standards für den öffentlichen Sektor in Konvergenz mit den IFRS und der Finanzstatistik (GFS) sowie die Promotion der Anwendung der IPSAS. Die steigende Bedeutung der IPSAS lässt sich an deren Einsatz in bereits über 50 Ländern sowie bei fast allen internationalen Regierungsorganisationen erkennen. Derzeit prüft Eurostat im Auftrag der EU Kommission eine verpflichtende Anwendung in allen Mitgliedstaaten. Der Bericht wird Ende Jahr erwartet.
