Abstract: This paper proposes a research design that is centered around narrative scenarios as a means of illustrating human life on the edge of technological singularity. The question is whether narrative scenarios are effective artefacts to trigger an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary discourse that results in actionable design criteria for the future co-existence of humans and intelligent machines. For this purpose, a systematic participatory approach must be developed and validated that is both plausible and replicable for different domains of human life.
