| Abstract: | DevOps is the modern organizational approach to unite the agile project world with the most cost-effective and stable IT operations. Swiss financial institutions tend to have numerous legacy systems, as well as specific regulatory requirements that make the shift to DevOps particularly challenging. In this paper, we created a new DevOps method specifically designed to address the outlined requirements. In order to verify the benefits of the method, a survey of 53 employees was conducted within a Swiss financial institution. It was found that the existing elements of the new method provide the basis, but the description of the instantiation of the method, as well as the exact room for interpretation of the legal requirements, provides the additional value desired. |
