Abstract: To answer the question, how to build a high performance culture, often performance related pay systems (MbO, bonus, i.e.) are taken into consideration. Developing such compensation systems plays an important role for companies in terms of motivating  or demotivating employees. But what about the base salary? The predominant portion, around 70-95 percent, of employees' salaries are based on fixed compensation.
