Abstract:	Kinder mit einem Risiko einer Entwicklungsstörung oder mit Entwicklungsverzögerung werden oft in die Kinderphysiotherapie überwiesen. Es handelt sich hier um eine heterogene Gruppe von Kindern, z.B. Frühgeborene, Kinder mit komplexen angeborenen Herzfehlern und Kindern mit einer frühen Hirnschädigung. Vor dem Beginn der Therapie und Begleitung, beurteilt die Kinderphysiotherapeutin zuerst den motorischen Entwicklungsstand des Kindes. Die Beurteilung hat zwei Ziele. Erstens das Erfassen des aktuellen motorischen Entwicklungsstand des Kindes. Dieser ist eine essenzielle Information für die angemessene und abgestimmte Begleitung von Familie und Kind. Zweitens kann eine solche Beurteilung hilfreich sein, eventuelle zukünftige Entwicklungsstörungen vorher zu sagen.
