At the CIUTI working group session on graduate employability, the TIGES21 core team (Gary Massey, Christoph Rösener, Marc Orlando) reported on it actions to define core thematic areas for the initial project stage; develop a prototype online platform on the CIUTI website to disseminate CIUTI members’ practices and an online template for submission of the practices; develop general criteria for the selection of the practices and a process for the submission/selection of practices. To supplement the results of the CIUTI employability survey run and presented by the core team in 2018, additional survey results wer presented (FTSK, University of Mainz in Germersheim) as an example of the way global issues and regional distinctions could be identified by member institutions. It was agreed at the meeting to encourage members to conduct their own graduate tracking survey, which could then be pooled and made avaialbe to all members for their own research and development purposes. The core team then presented the general criteria (2.c.) for selection of member practices, which were defined as innovative potential of contributions in core thematic areas, relevance of (regional) contributions to global markets and other regions, and transferability (i.e. practicability/feasibility of implementation in other institutional contexts). The process for best practice submission was also established, comprising submission at any time via online form, selection twice a year by WG members, publication on website. The WG’s next steps are to program the interface, refine the search function (e.g. a pick list based on keyword submission), publish the platform (notification via the Secretary General) and identify additional thematic areas. The following feedback was also given by those present: - The proposed platform should have more interactive features for users and be supplement with e.g. webinars by course owners, feedback options for other members to add comments and recommendations, Q&A options for members - If possible, there could be regular (livestream) meetings among WG and CIUTI members - A trainer exchange or contact function could be added for network building - A space should be created to upload (regional) graduate survey data from member institution - A format should be developed that could replicate data in regional settings, though the survey must be usable and manageable (length etc.) The above, including the feedback from the WG session, was presented in plenary to the General Assembly, where it again met with general approval. The TIGES21 core team will therefore continue with its proposed action plan.de_CH
