| dc.description.abstract | This talk addresses the effects that digitalisation is having on the translation profession and on the education that prepares students for it, focussing in particular on the (likely) impact of advances in (neural) machine translation and other tools on employment and demand in the translation industry. It looks at how the profession and its educators, including IUED and some of its partner institutes, are re-positioning themselves both to meet the demands of digitalisation and, increasingly, to identify, foster and promote the added value of human translation. | de_CH |
