dc.description.abstract | Security in IoT devices is a global topic nowadays. Rising awareness and up-coming regulations will force manufacturers to increase the level of security on their IoT devices. The challenge is now to leverage the elaborate, well-known computer security algorithms to resource constrained IoT devices. With the new generation of secure microcontrollers, Arm TrustZone is now available for battery powered IoT devices. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the concept of secure microcontrollers, showing specific application examples for different silicon vendors. Furthermore, the presentation will show advantages and weaknesses of secure microcontrollers compared to dedicated off-chip solutions like secure elements. | de_CH |
