dc.description.abstractUnderstanding how to be responsive to the challenges of forced migration is critical for humanity. The recent years has demonstrated a growing interest within the occupational therapy community for the potential for OT to engage in work with displaced persons. This growing interest is often accompanied by many questions. Questions around expectations, questions around practical matters and questions based on not quite knowing where to start. This workshop aims to present the work of multiple groups who are exploring, developing and critically examining the work of OT with displaced persons. Additionally, the workshop allows participants to have a sounding board to share their own experiences or to ask questions which they may have around the topic of human displacement, or the role of occupational therapy in this field. This workshop will thus be informative and interactive; providing participants with an opportunity to engage in discussion and to ask their burning questions, hopefully lighting a spark to continue to contribute to the efforts of work in this field.de_CH
