dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we discuss a solution strategy for an overdetermined ODE system that uses elliptic functions. In particular, we show how an apparently ill-posed ODE system can be made amenable to treatment by Jacobian elliptic functions by introducing additional free parameters and still obtain a solution that corresponds well to the physically expected behavior.de_CH
